Q: I am required to obtain F.A.S.T. electronic digital fingerprinting for a Texas Independent School District, for a Texas Real Estate license, Texas Insurance Adjuster, Texas CHL, HAZMAT, Texas Lottery Commision, or a daycare center. Do you provide that type of service?

A: No, the Texas Department of Public Safety contracts with Identogo to provide this service for you. If you are required to obtain electronic fingerprinting with F.A.S.T. form instructions, you will need to contact them to schedule an appointment for you.

Q: I need fingerprint cards completed for another state for licensing requirements in that state. Are you able to process them?

A: Yes. We are certified and authorized to complete fingerprinting for all 50 states and for Federal (FBI) criminal background checks.

Q: How long does the fingerprinting process take?

A: Not long. It takes you longer to fill out the top part of the card than it does to be fingerprinted. As an example, most people get 2 cards completed and they are in and out in less than 10 minutes.

Q: How soon can I get an appointment with you if I am in a rush?

A: Depending on what time of day you are calling, most often we can see you the same day. It is best to schedule an appointment as far in advance as possible to ensure the promptest level of service. We schedule appointments Mon – Fri 8:30am – 3:30pm, and Saturdays 8:30am – 12:30pm. Closed Sundays and most holidays.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to my fingerprinting appointment?

A: You need to bring government issued picture identification, such as a driver’s license, Military ID, Alien Registration Card, Permanent Resident card, Mexican Matricula, or a current Passport. We accept cash or debit/credit cards for payment.

Q: How can I ensure my fingertips and thumbs are ready for you to fingerprint to ensure you are able to obtain good, classifiable fingerprints?

A: Be sure to wash your hands very thoroughly with warm water and dish washing liquid. We need dry fingertips to record excellent fingerprints so we need to ensure that you have washed off soil, oils, and lotions prior to fingerprinting. We carry cleaning preparation towlettes and also have wipes to remove the ink after fingerprinting.

Q: Can you come to our home or office to provide fingerprinting services? If so, does it cost more than scheduling an appointment at your Irving office?

A: Yes, for your convenience we do offer a mobile service. It costs a little more because we must charge a trip fee for our travel time and fuel. The trip fee varies (starting at $50) depending on where you are located from our Irving office. If you are interested in mobile service, just call us for a quote at (214) 529-8157.

Q: Should I go to a Police department in order to get my fingerprints officially recorded?

A: No. We are certified and approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Private Security Bureau and are an FBI approved livescan center. We are authorized to do the same fingerprinting for the public that the police do. We are a much more convenient option: No waiting lines with us and you do not get fingerprinted in a jail house booking area. Plus, we have the fingerprint cards you need (they do not supply cards for you). In addition, law enforcement agencies do not do Immigration fingerprinting or for non-residents and they do not offer a mobile service.

Q: Is your service guaranteed?

A: Absolutely. We maintain an extraordinarily low rejection rate but if your cards are returned deemed unclassifiable by the FBI or a particular State (highly unlikely), we will reprint them for you at no charge in our Irving, TX office unless your fingertips are worn down to a level that prevents us from obtaining classifiable fingerprints to begin with. Only 2% of the public has fingertips worn down to a point where their fingerprint detail is barely classifiable, or mostly non-existent.

Q: Do you submit my fingerprint cards to the FBI or State for me?

A: No, we capture and record your fingerprints on the FD-258 fingerprint cards for you and then you or your employer will send them off to the FBI and/or State with applicable fees and application forms that they require for processing the criminal background checks. If you are obtaining a personal FBI report via livescan, we will submit it for you electronically.

Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: We work by appointment only 8:30am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday, and 8:30am – 12:30pm on Saturday. Closed on Sundays and most holidays.

Q. If we call you for mobile service and we aren't ready for you to begin fingerprinting at the time that we scheduled you for, will we be charged waiting fees?

A: Yes, we charge $1 per minute beyond the scheduled start time until we begin fingerprinting or notarizing documents. Our time is as valuable as yours and if we are on time, we hope you will be too. We have appointments scheduled throughout the day so starting our appointment late often results in us needing to reschedule or bump appointments with others and that is not fair to anyone. Circumstances happen though so if you need more time before we start our appointment, please call and give us a "heads up" as soon as possible before we arrive. Likewise, if any conflicts on our end, we will contact you well in advance of our appointment.
